Privacy Policy
This policy explains what NYVREE (“NYVREE”, “we”) collects through this pre-launch website, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible: to join the list, all we ask for is your email address.

What we collect and why

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If you arrive through someone’s invitation link, your browser holds that invitation code for the length of the visit so your sign-up can be credited to them; it is cleared when you close the tab, and it is never linked to an advertising profile.
Consent
We only email you with your express consent, given when you enter your email address and select “Join the list”. We then send a confirmation email; you are only added once you confirm. You can withdraw consent at any time. See Unsubscribe.
Service providers and where your information is stored
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract, only for the purposes above:
- Klaviyo, Inc. (United States) stores our subscriber list and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and processes sign-up requests.
- Umami Software, Inc. (Umami Cloud) (servers in the United States and the European Union) measures how many people visit and how many join the list. It sets no cookies and uses no cross-site identifier, and it processes your IP address only in passing to estimate an approximate location. For visitors in the European Union, our basis for this is our legitimate interest in understanding how our own website performs.
These providers store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities. We remain responsible for your information and require our providers to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you promptly, always within 10 business days, and keep only a minimal suppression record so that we don’t contact you again, along with your consent record for up to three years as proof of compliance. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted periodically.
How we protect it
This site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Subscriber data is held with our email provider behind access controls and multi-factor authentication, and is accessible only to the people who need it to run the list.
Unsubscribe
You can leave the list at any time, at no cost:
- Select Unsubscribe at the bottom of any NYVREE email. It takes one click.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted. If you live in Québec, you also have the right to data portability and to ask that we stop disseminating your information. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on your consent as our legal basis and you have the equivalent rights under the GDPR.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the privacy regulator where you live.
Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, for example when our store opens, we will update this page and the date above, and tell subscribers about significant changes by email.
